STRETCHING FREEDOM OF SPEECH! Do we believe the forefathers of this great country and the documents they wrote to set up this great nation contained extreme flexibility? What I mean is, can the first amendment be stretched to cover what it does in our era? I don't think so! What would the founding fathers think if they were to come back to life and see what has happened to the foundational documents they fought and labored so hard for? They would of necessity be appalled and angry at the collapse of their vision for America. What does the first amendment say and mean? Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of
the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
Government for a redress of grievances. Abridging the freedom of speech! What exactly does that mean? Why was this even placed in the Constitution? To understand why freedom of speech was included you must go back in time. Why did our ancestors even want to come to America? To escape certain oppressions! In Europe and the British Isles you were restricted in many areas of life in general. Persecution was felt by the people about the way they practiced religion, what they could write, what they could say, or petitioning their local governments for redress on any grievance they might have. The government was in effect tyrannical to say the least. Religious persecution abounded in Europe and the British Isles. Finally the people had enough of this oppression and looked for a solution to their problem. The new country offered an escape from this tyrannical oppression! They looked forward to this escape with much zeal. The founding of this great country was measured in blood! America's foundation did not come without cost. The new settlers fought hard for their new country. They would not have any of the oppression they endured in the past to be imposed here! A new free land! A country free from oppression! Glory be! A new set of rules to govern them was adopted to ensure them of the freedoms they so longingly wanted. Does freedom of speech stretch into freedom of expression? Does this amendment employ something non-verbal but visible i.e. art? Does it cover symbolic situations? Can we desecrate the American flag under freedom of speech? Does freedom of speech allow Americans to view and depict pornography openly? Can we yell "fire" in a packed theater when there is no fire apparent? Just how far can we stretch this amendment? I believe the first amendment has been stretched way beyond its original intent. The founding fathers wanted us to be able to speak freely without fear of imprisonment. If we would just consider original language and the intent implied without adding interpretations that stretch the verbal meanings, we will fully understand their original purposes. Plainly said, speech is something that proceeds from the mouth of those individuals that can for all intent and purposes speak. I have the right to speak on any given subject as long as it is not profane and filled with vulgarity as I see it! This was and still is the original intent of this amendment. This great country is being destroyed from within and the Supreme Court is helping. Recent decisions are certainly having an impact on the future of this great nation. Europe still sees America as a rebel colony. They want to place us under their subjection once again! And slowly this is happening. Our rights are being eroded away. We are being placed in servitude once again. The design for a One World Government is not something new or of recent origin. It has been the intent of a few powerful people to control the world. You should do some research on the intent of the I.G. Farben cartel. Follow this to its conclusion. What about the Carlyle Group? This would be another research project for you to pursue if you have time. What was or is the intent of these powerful groups? Not good I’m afraid. Have we gone beyond the point of no return? I hope not! I could write volumes on these subjects but for the sake of brevity I must stop here. If you want more information, write me and give some suggestions! For now, Hawkeye1, (Keeping An Eye Our For You.) |
